Renowned manufacturer Pöttinger presents a new plow called SERVO 4000
Austrian agricultural specialist Pöttinger has launched a new generation of semi-mounted ploughs with future changes in mind. SERVO 4000 ploughs are the result of many years of ploughing experience and a continuous focus on adapting agricultural machinery to meet the ever-changing requirements of farmers. The NOVA main frame section and stone protection system have been completely revised to optimise reliability.
The new ploughs are available in Standard, Plus, Nova and Plus Nova, with 4 to 6 trout. The Nova and Plus Nova versions feature hydraulic stone protection with adjustable release pressure up to 1,400 kg to prevent damage to the plough and for a continuous workflow. The new series is available with a 95-102 cm troop spacing and 80 cm under-frame height , or 90 cm optional.
High efficiency
The TRACTION CONTROL system on the SERVO 4000 plough actively transfers weight from the plough to the tractor. This means that up to 1,100 kg more load can be applied to the rear wheels, while allowing the plough to follow the ground perfectly. As a result, wheel spin is minimised and fuel consumption is reduced by up to 10 percent. This means pure efficiency.
The new Pöttinger Servo 4000 plow has fewer grease points – all easily accessible – to minimize maintenance requirements. In addition, reversible brackets are standard on all Durastar variants. This contributes to a significant increase in machine durability and cost-effectiveness.
Strength and durability
The plough frame has been designed to absorb even better the loads acting on it during operation. The forces act in straight lines because deflections have been minimised. This makes efficient use of the tractor’s pulling power. In addition, the newly designed construction protects all bearings and mounted components. Nova’s robust frame construction and stone protection system ensure smooth operation in all conditions. Easy adjustment of all relevant settings is assisted by easily accessible hydraulics. Cultivation of the highest quality soil and reliable incorporation of plant residues and straw ensures a clean and tidy ploughing pattern.
