The Fiat-Hitachi FB100 is a backhoe loader that was produced by Fiat Hitachi Construction Machinery in the 1990s. Fiat Hitachi was a joint venture between the Italian company Fiat and the Japanese company Hitachi, which produced construction machinery, including backhoe loaders. Fiat Hitachi backhoe loaders have been known for their reliability, durability and efficiency and have been popular with contractors and operators around the world. However, the Fiat Hitachi joint venture was dissolved in 2002 and production of backhoe loaders under this brand was discontinued.
The FB100 is a versatile machine that combines the functions of a loader and an excavator. It has a four-cylinder diesel engine delivering up to 64 kW (86 hp). The backhoe has a maximum digging depth of about 4.5 metres and a maximum reach of about 6.7 metres. The loader has a maximum lifting capacity of approximately 3,500 kg (7,700 lbs) and a bucket capacity of approximately 1 cubic meter (1.3 cubic yards). The FB100 has been designed for use in a variety of applications including construction, agriculture and landscaping.
