Mecalac, a global designer, manufacturer and distributor of compact construction equipment, launched the Revotruck in North America.

Available in 6– and 9-ton payload configurations, the Revotruck is the first site dumper to feature a rotating cab, designed with maximum visibility to enhance operator safety, the company says. A rotating cab increases operator safety by eliminating the need to twist and turn for visibility of the travel path and job site.

Both models use a 74 hp (55 kW) Tier 4 Final emissions compliant diesel engine. A hydrostatic transmission offers a top speed of 17.4 mph (28 km/h).

Operators can now rotate the entire cab at the touch of a button to keep their vision and focus on the job and obstacles on site. The exclusive chassis with central oscillation ensures stability and traction in all ground conditions. Together with extreme ease of use and accessibility, the Revotruck makes material transport smarter and safer.

The 4 main criteria that make this dumper a revolutionary machine

  • Visibility: 360° view

The rotating cab offers optimum visibility in all directions, allowing drivers to maintain maximum concentration on their work and their environment while maintaining an ideal, comfortable position.

  • Mobility

A revolution in its structure. The rigid chassis – which is intrinsically safer than an articulated chassis because the support points remain constant – is complemented by four equal sized wheels. It has a switchable steering mode (2-wheel steering, 4-wheel steering, crab steering), enabling it to work with agility in confined spaces and with a turning radius halved compared with conventional articulated dumper trucks.

  • Ergonomics

Rotation at the touch of a button. With drivers at the heart of the Revotruck’s design, we have made it possible to rotate the cab at the touch of a button. As a result, drivers maintain correct posture at all times and avoid back problems by eliminating working positions where the back and neck are twisted.

  • Stability

Featuring a rigid 4-wheel steering chassis inspired by hill tractors, the Revotruck offers exceptional stability. The central link between the two parts of the chassis offers up to 20° of oscillation. The two oscillating parts of the chassis follow the contours of the ground independently, ensuring stability and permanent traction on all types of terrain.
