KATO IMER | New skid-steer loaders. Doubts about color

KATO IMER | New skid-steer loaders

KATO IMER introduces a full range of wheeled and tracked skid steer loaders to the market.

A total of six new models with the AS29R and AT35R breaking away from all competitors in their weight range thanks to a 135 l/min high-flow. KATO IMER is relaunching and focusing on Italy.
Construction of these machines will be located in the historic San Gimignano plant. This is thanks to the relocation of the crawler dumper assembly lines at IMER’s Rapolano Terme plant. From here the entire world market will be supplied with an initial production forecast of 700 machines/year.

Models

The first three models available are the AS26R, AS29R and AT35R skid steer loaders. The first two are wheeled (S=skid) and the last is a tracked (T=track). Three radial lift arm (R) machines with operating weights ranging from 2,697 kg to 3,672 kg and with nominal operating loads of 638 kg (AS26R), 820 kg (AS29R) and 848 kg (AT35R).

The AS26R skid steer loader is the most compact and lightest version among the newcomers and is equipped with a Doosan D18 3-cylinder engine with 41 kW of power at 2,400 rpm. It has an operating weight of 2.6 t and an operating load of 638 kg. The AS29R skid steer loader mounts the Doosan D24 4-cylinder 2,400 cc engine, delivering 55.1 kW of power at 2,200 rpm. Here the operating weight is 2.9 t and the operating load is 820 kg (compared to its “little sister” this machine is equipped with “hi-flow,” for the use of equipment with high hydraulic capacity absorption).

AS26R

The upcoming models, on the other hand, are based on a modular chassis designed for a higher operating weight and are the AS33R, AT45R-40 and AT45V-40. We are thus talking about one wheeled model and two tracked models equipped with both radial (R) and vertical (V) booms.
These six machines are joined below by the “historic” AS12R skid steer loader. An extremely compact model with a long and successful presence in the KATO IMER lists, which has been and is still being so successful. The update, for this small skid steer loader that holds a “Bulgarian” market share in its specific weight class, will concern only the new decals. These will then be in line with the new brand identity of the newly introduced skid steer loaders.

Operation of undoubted quality. However, doubt remains about the livery, which with the introduction of Japanese colors has lost the charm of the Imer blue color
