The new ONOX electric tractor, developed by the German start-up Raumideen, stands out for its minimalist design and a series of technological innovations that make it highly efficient and versatile for various agricultural activities.
The standard ONOX electric tractor is a powerful and versatile electric tractor designed for sustainable agriculture. It is emission-free, has exceptional power and torque, and a long operating range. It is also easy to use and features a comfortable cabin.
Electric propulsion allows for a wider range of construction schemes, also aided by the ability to distribute the machine’s power based on multiple units allocated onboard where it is most convenient.
It is structurally different from traditional tractors as it is built on a metal frame that, in addition to supporting a four-post cabin, integrates four electric motors.One is designated for traction, two for powering the power take-offs, and the fourth for operating the onboard hydraulics.
The design of the ONOX includes a lowered hood that improves forward visibility, increasing safety and precision during operations. Moreover, the absence of a traditional engine hood allows this space to be used for additional equipment.
The tractor also offers high comfort for the operator, thanks to a spacious cabin with ergonomic controls and an advanced climate control system. T he cabin, designed by Mauser, ensures a 360-degree view, reducing operator fatigue during long working hours.
In Production from 2025
Presented at Agritechnica 2023, ONOX will enter production starting in 2025, once the field testing sessions are completed. The German start-up Raumideen, founded by investor Michael Hetzer – also leading Elobau, a manufacturer of electronic components – strongly believes in the potential of the ONOX electric tractor, so much so that they have already started developing a new 95-horsepower model.
